Try Dry Stone Walling in the Mendip Hills

  Try your hand at dry stone walling in the Mendip Hills AONB

Would you like to learn how to do dry stone walling or just gain more walling experience, and help restore one of the many walls in the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB)? (please see image attached)

Local waller Tracy Reynolds, who has restored many of the walls in the area, will introduce volunteers to dry stone walling skills whilst restoring a wall near a public footpath on the scenic Mendip plateau above Wells.

The dry stone walling training tasks will be running 10.00am- 3pm on the following dates:

Wednesday 24th August,
Wednesday 31st August,
Saturday 3rd September,
Wednesday 7th September.

This training is part of a wider programme of volunteering tasks provided by the Mendip Hills AONB Unit and are open to anyone aged 16 or over. All tools and equipment will be provided.
