NORTH SOMERSET DISTRICT COUNCIL
(CANADA COMBE, HUTTON, NORTH SOMERSET)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2012
Notice is hereby given that North Somerset District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, has made an order the effect of which has been to close, temporarily, to vehicles the length of Canada Combe that extends from its junction with Hutton Hill for a distance 100 metres south-east from that junction.
This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon works by Bristol Water to install a new water supply and became operative on the 1ST MARCH 2012 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of FIVE DAYS in duration.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE
Hutton Hill, Main Road, Oldmixon Road, Totterdown Lane, Bleadon Hill, Roman Road and Canada Combe (parts unaffected), and vice versa.
Although the order is for 18 months the actual closure is 5 days from 1 March 2012.
